MalacaƱang Palace has declared September 10, 2010 as a non-working holiday in celebration of Eid ul-Fitr or the end of Ramadan. President Noynoy Aquino signed Proclamation 26 to formally declare this day as a holiday.

Muslims all around the world started to celebrate Ramadan in August 11, 2010. This month-long religious observance will culminate with a festivity (Eid) for purification (Fitr) after fasting for a month.
