3N Bakery, The Siopao Center

Is toasted siopao something new for you? For Bicolanos, it's among one of their favorites! Here in Manila, we are used to eating steamed siopao. Toasted siopao is just like its steamed version but the experience in eating it is closer to eating an Asado Roll.

I have already eaten various versions of the famed toasted siopao of Bicolandia. The best toasted siopa I tasted so far is the one that my sister-in-law bought while we were visiting our relatives in Daet, Camarines Norte. We were lucky that what we bought was freshly baked and piping hot. The bread of this toasted siopao was not that thick compared to the ones I have bought in Naga City. The asado filling was saucy and had just the right sweetness. You need not put sauce anymore when eating toasted siopao.

Try some toasted siopao when you're in Bicol. And don't forget to take some home for me!
