Meralco Liwanag Park

I've been meaning to visit the Meralco Liwanag Park's display last year but I didn't find the time. Thankfully, my husband's office is now a stone's throw away so we were able to visit before going home.



I was actually invited to the launch five days ago but I wasn't able to take photos of the park that night. Most of the displays were crowded so I just promised Rap that we'd come back.

Coca-cola Caravan and Araneta Center Giant Tree Lighting Event

Christmas at the Araneta Center in Cubao would not be complete with the grand Giant Tree Lighting. This will finally happen tomorrow, November 12, 2011, 6PM at the Araneta Coliseum parking lot (beside Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf). This will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display and a grand musical variety show.

SM Supermalls ChriSMs Launch at the SM Mall of Asia

SM Supermalls will officially start the Christmas season tomorrow, 11/11/11, at the SM Mall of Asia. Be sure to be at the Main Mall Atrium at 5 p.m. to witness the grand launch of SM Mall of Asia's Winter Wonderland celebration though a Grand Tree Lighting ceremony.

Mambukal Mountain Resort, a hidden paradise in Murcia, Negros Occidental

It's been more than a year since we last visited Bacolod City. Because I was so busy with work, I failed to write about the paradise that is Mambukal Mountain Resort which sits in the sleepy town of Murcia, Negros Occidental (around 16.5 kms away from Bacolod City). From Bacolod City, we rode a non-airconditioned minibus for an hour to Murcia.



The place is operated by the provincial government and entrance fee was at Php 50 for adults and Php 10 for kids. There are separate fees for using the swimming pool and the hot pools. We also rented a big cemented picnic cottage for Php 600. There's a sink and barbecue grill beside it which made it very convenient for us to prepare our picnic food.
